The Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Rise Sports Promotions, Sharaf Mahama, has thrown his weight behind the Mubarak Yusif Nanor (MYN) Scholarship Initiative Program, reaffirming his commitment to youth development through sports and education.

Sharaf Mahama, the son of President John Dramani Mahama, expressed strong support for the initiative during a ceremony held in Accra. The event marked a significant milestone for the scholarship scheme, which is designed to support young and promising boxers in furthering their education while pursuing their sporting careers.

The scholarship presentation took place at the Prince De-Henry Educational Complex in Lartebiokorshie, where ten budding boxers were awarded educational support packages. The initiative, spearheaded by boxing promoter Mubarak Yusif Nanor, seeks to bridge the gap between athletic talent and academic advancement.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sharaf Mahama underscored the importance of combining sports with education, noting that young athletes must be equipped not only with physical strength but also with knowledge and skills that will sustain them beyond their sporting careers. He emphasised that investing in education remains one of the most effective ways to secure the future of Ghana’s youth.

The Mubarak Yusif Nanor Scholarship Initiative continues to gain attention for its vision of nurturing disciplined, educated, and well-rounded athletes, reinforcing the idea that success in sports should go hand in hand with academic achievement.
