British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua is mourning the loss of two close friends following a tragic road accident in Nigeria, an incident that has also sparked widespread speculation about his future in professional boxing.
The 36-year-old former world champion was involved in a serious car crash on December 29 while travelling in a black Lexus SUV on a major highway in Nigeria. Reports indicate that the vehicle collided with a stationary truck. While Joshua survived the accident with minor injuries, two of his companions, Kevin Ayodele and Sina Ghami, lost their lives at the scene.
