The children of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, have strongly denied reports suggesting tension or conflict between them and their mother, Mrs Akosua Serwah Fosuh.

In a press release dated January 20, 2026, and issued in Accra, the family described circulating social media claims as false, malicious and misleading. The children dismissed suggestions that they are at odds with their mother or that there are plans to have her arrested for speaking or writing on their behalf.

According to the statement, the family remains united and maintains a close and respectful relationship with their mother, whom they say they communicate with daily. They stressed that any claims portraying a strained relationship are baseless and deeply offensive.

The release also addressed allegations targeting individuals who have publicly supported Mrs Fosuh, particularly a man identified as Kenpong. The family described accusations against him as reckless and unfair, insisting that his actions were purely supportive during a difficult period.

Reaffirming their position, the children stated that their loyalty remains firmly with their mother, emphasising that their bond is rooted in trust, affection and unity. They further expressed concern over what they described as deliberate attempts by some individuals to fabricate rumours for attention and social media engagement.

The family warned that such misinformation not only causes distress but also undermines the legacy of their late father, whom they described as a national icon who contributed significantly to Ghana’s cultural heritage through highlife music
