Hands Together Outreach Holds Second Christmas Donation Drive in Dzodze, Volta Region
A non governmental organization supporting community growth
Hands Together Outreach (HTO), a non-governmental organization committed to community empowerment, has successfully carried out its second Christmas Donation Drive at Dzodze-Apetepe in the Volta Region, in partnership with Dzodze Mama Deza ’25.
The donation exercise took place on 25th December 2025, marking a year since the organization was officially launched. HTO was first introduced on 25th December 2024 at the Kasoa Royal Seed Home, where it undertook its maiden Christmas donation.
Speaking during the event, the Founder and Managing Director of Hands Together Outreach, Dominic Komla Atama, explained that the initiative was driven by the need to support underserved communities and promote love, unity, and togetherness, especially during the festive season. He expressed profound gratitude to volunteers, partners, and supporters from across Ghana and beyond whose contributions made the outreach successful.
Mr. Atama emphasized the importance of youth collaboration and community-driven development in building a compassionate and progressive society, reaffirming HTO’s commitment to empowering communities through sustainable, people-centered initiatives.
The donation drive was also graced by Mr. Samuel Tiwonitaaba, CEO of Tiwonisam Dogs World (dog and wild cat trainer) and caretaker of Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar), the 2024 presidential candidate, and his pet tiger. Mr. Tiwonitaaba explained that his participation was inspired by his own background, having grown up under less privileged conditions.
“I grew up with little, so it is time to support the less privileged,” he said. He encouraged the children to take their education seriously, avoid unnecessary distractions on social media, and make good use of their talents, stressing that hard work and discipline lead to success.
Dzodze Mama Deza ’25, popularly known as Beauty Kassah (Face of Dzodze), expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Hands Together Outreach for bringing joy to the children and positively impacting the community. She praised the organization for its dedication to uplifting the youth and supporting the underprivileged.
The collaboration between Mama Deza ’25 and Hands Together Outreach dates back to 2022, when a meeting at a media house between Beauty Kassah and youth advocate Dominic Komla Atama laid the foundation for a shared vision in community development. This vision later evolved into a strong partnership.
In November 2025, Dominic Komla Atama officially invited Mama Deza ’25 to participate in the donation drive, an offer she gladly accepted. The outreach, held at Dzodze-Apetepe, saw the distribution of essential items such as sanitary pads, pens, customized exercise books, school bags, clothes, shoes, drinks, and other supplies to children and the underprivileged.
This initiative marked Hands Together Outreach’s second donation exercise and also became Mama Deza ’25’s first official community project since her coronation on 25th October 2025, with her reign set to run through 2026.
Hands Together Outreach continues to strengthen its mission to empower, uplift, and create lasting change across Ghana, demonstrating that collaboration and compassion remain powerful tools for community development.
